Anniversary Day

Have you ever stayed up all night on the phone with someone till you fell asleep? It was the one thing you looked forward to at the end of the day. Conversations with your guy/girl become yawns as the night turns to dawn. Remember that giddyness you felt knowing that he or she was the last person that greeted you goodnight before you fell asleep? That was us four years ago.

I took the day off on Tuesday to spend the day with Sinta to celebrate our four years of being together. We didn't have anything planned (except for dinner reservations that night), so we played the day by ear. The day started off with brunch at Hobee's--our fave local restaurant here in Mountain View. After our hearty meal, we headed to the City where the weather was absolutely beautiful! We hung out downtown where the temps had to be in the 80s! Since our reservations at Sutro's at the Cliff House wasn't until 6pm, we spent some time walking around Golden Gate Park. Bigger than New York's Central Park, you'll find that there's plenty to do there. We were greeted there by the signature fog, and it was more so evident when we drove out to Ocean Beach.

Our reservations were made in time to the nautical sunset. The ambiance was romantic, the food was excellent, and it was just nice to dress up for a nice dinner since we don't do it that often. The day was perfect.

"Yeah, but come Monday, we'll have to deal with it all over again."

I am so glad it's Friday. I've had some crazy days at work, but today's shenanigans truly put the icing on the cake. All I have to say is that when it rains, it pours!
