Wow, it's been awhile.
I've been feeling stressed and drained lately. When I get home from work, I just want to plop on the couch and do nothing. I started reading again, and it's probably one of the few things I'd rather do these days to help me wind down after a long work day. Ideally, I should be taking walks around the neighborhood, or going out for a run, but guess what? I somehow hurt my foot last Saturday night, and ironically, it's not from dancing hula. Maybe I landed wrong on my foot. Who knows. I can bear weight on it, but it hurts when I walk, like I stretched a muscle or a tendon or something. I hope it gets better before the weekend.

I don't know what the heck I did to my right foot last Saturday, but it hurts when I walk. When I came home, J made me sit on the couch and elevate my foot while he took care of dinner. I joked that I wanted a beer, too, and he brought one to me.

My work day started with a friend who stopped by with goodies in tow. She just came back from Maui, and so we talked about how much we love Hawai'i. And we both agreed that when one visits there, he/she leaves a piece of his/her heart there. *sigh*

The last time we dined at this restaurant was when J and I first started dating in 2003. Whenever we shop at Stanford Shopping Center, we always talk about eating at Max's. I'm glad we finally did.

A friend and hula sis brought back this bracelet for me from a recent trip to Hawaii. It was really sweet of her, and it totally put a smile on my face on an otherwise rough day.
