Tremors In Earthquake Country

Happy Halloween, All! I hope everyone is having a good one so far. We had quite the scare here in Northern California last night at 8:04pm. The loud rumbling was mistaken for our neighbor upstairs. Then there was a quick jolt. I saw our ceiling move in a wave-like motion. That's when we realized that we were having an earthquake.

Measuring 5.6 on the Richter Scale, we are only about 18 miles away from the epicenter. Luckily, no one was hurt and we didnr have any damges. I was almost convinced that it was the "big one". Considering that it was the strongest jolt since the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, many around the Bay Area feared that last night's was it.
