The Philippines: As I Know It (Part III)

My post about our trip to the Philippines is long overdue. So, here goes...

Sinta and I were there for only four days, and that excluded our time in transit. A few days isn't enough to see my family; nevertheless, it's definetely better than not going at all. It felt good to be home, and to be with my family. Driving through Manila and into the province, it felt like a never left.

Day 1:

Our first day was spent hanging around my parents house, catching up with them, and playing in the backyard with my nephew Nico. He's a cutie! And a smart one, too! During our stay there, he played with his Hot Wheels remote control car that his dad sent him. By the time we left, he was a pro! That night, we all went to my cousins' house where Sinta drank with some of my nephews...Santo Tomas style! That's when he had the Ilocano dish dinakdakan, and it wasn't the mayonnaise version! I've never tried the kind he had, and that's hardcore.

Day 2:

We woke up early the next morning and took a morning drive to Manaoag, where we attended morning mass. It was going to be a busy day for us. After mass, we drove out to Dagupan for some lunch and shopping at one of the malls there. Then, we had to head back home. We had a dinner date with my great aunt (whom I call "Grandma"), and my auntie. We had dinner at Max's in Urdanata.

Sa Susunod...

Days 3 and 4...
